Grape variety: Sangiovese 60%, Merlot 20%, Syrah 20%
A nose that expresses elegance and aromatic refinement. Fragrant aromas of ripe fruit with hints of spices and minerals, an intense and enduring bouquet. The volume on the palate is delightful with the pleasants sweetness of the fruit, the structure develops with a dense texture of mature, soft tannins that ensure length and a pleasantly delicious aftertaste. Terroir: Siliceous sand (flavour and drinkability) above heavy calcareous clay (body and longevity)
Climate: Mediterranean with fresh mountain influences from the Appenin range (2000 mt)
Geology (soils): Arenaria, a Oligocene acidic sand alluvia, the bottom of ancient oceans over Alberese, a calcareuos clay marl formed during the more recent cretaceous era.

Vinification: Hand selected on 3 table of selection, one before destemmer and two after destemming, crushing operated in the bins with feet, fermented and macerated for 15/20 days in small (1000/3000 lt) wooden bins, racked and pumped first time at the end of fermenatation to assemblage in cement tank, after 4/5 days racked by gravity in barriques (1%new) for malolactic fermentation.
Aging : French oak barriques from Burgundy, 1%new, racking with air compressed no pumps. 18 months in barriques and 8/10 months in cement before bottling.
